Mistake #1: Ickey Woods Autos Were Left Out of Collation
We have them. They're signed. They just didn't make it into the product.
Going forward, everyone should treat the Ickey slot as a "Highlighted Hero." If you're ripping your own boxes, this does not change your auto pull rates or anything else on a per-box basis.
The people most affected are those who bought Ickey break spots since release. To make that right:
If you purchased an Ickey spot in any break (Pick Your Hero or Random), email help@bobattlearena.com with a copy of your receipt and your PayPal email. We'll refund your purchase via PayPal Goods & Services and add 5% to cover fees, since we can't use "friends & family" as a large business user.
Mistake #2: LA Boxes Alt-Art Pack Card Count
During the sales window, the LA Alt-Art Boxes were updated to include 10 cards per Alt-Art pack. When the product got built, it followed the original 3-card configuration instead.
For context: Seattle boxes for football were marketed as 3-card packs, and we'll do the same for NY in hoops, so those customers are unaffected. Pulling the LA boxes to change the build isn't a viable option, so we're working on other solutions to get these printed and out the door.
If you were impacted by the LA Alt-Art Box mistake (Battlefoil Boxes are not affected), here are your two options:
Option 1: Full Refund + $50 Cash Back

Option 2: Keep the Box + Bonus Mahomes Hobby Box Allocated at $100 Off
- Keep your LA box as-is and receive a bonus Mahomes Set Hobby Box allocated, plus an additional $100 off beyond any other promotion offered during the pre-sale. So if you're currently set to get one Mahomes box allocated, you'll get a second one, and it will be $100 cheaper than the first.

Not Making Excuses, But Here's How It Happened
In the spirit of transparency, here's exactly how each one went wrong.
The Ickey Autos. The cards were checked in and stored in the vault, but the box ended up underneath another unrelated box. One signer had an issue and needed unsigned cards sent back for completion, which created an extra box during check-in. When autos were pulled for factory delivery, the total number of boxes matched the total number of signers, so nothing looked off. The cards were shuffled, collated, and sent to production. The Ickey box was left behind. We first suspected a problem when final inventory from the factory came back a few hundred boxes short. That morning, the Ickey box was found in the safe. There's no excuse. That's simply how it happened.
The LA Alt-Art Card Count. We tried to move too fast and the process broke. The production team wasn't aware of the change from 3 cards to 10 cards, and it never made its way into the build. We didn't catch it until this weekend while reviewing whether to move printing to another factory to speed things up. The discrepancy surfaced while filling out pricing and quote forms. Simple human error and a system breakdown.
What Happens to the Ickey Autos?
To be determined. We're going to ask KOEI Tecmo if they'll allow us to insert them into Mahomes set packs. There are some licensing complications, but they've been great partners and we hope we can make it happen. If that's not possible, we'll find another solution.
We strongly prefer these cards enter circulation through pack randomization for provenance purposes. We could run online randoms or other giveaways, but that's never as clean long term. These cards deserve to be pack-pulled. We just need to figure out the right way to make it happen, and the wound is still fresh, so we don't have it all sorted out just yet.
We're sorry for both mistakes. We design the strategy and processes meant to keep things like this from happening, and we missed. We hope everyone feels these solutions are fair to everyone impacted.
