A small update, and some mixed news:
Dick’s and Target are facing longer-than-expected logistics timing, and we’re now hearing product is expected to reach shelves after July 4. That’s not ideal news.
The positive side is that both Dick’s and Target already have product in their main warehouses and are just waiting on logistics.
On the DTC side, orders are moving. We’ve been told all Hobby product was shipped out over the weekend, and they are now working through retail bundles. If yours hasn’t been scanned yet, don’t worry. We’ve seen that happen before when large release waves go out.
We’re also hearing that Hobby shops are receiving Double Megas. Several received them yesterday, and we expect most, if not all, to land by the end of this week.Please keep in mind that this may create a little extra perceived scarcity until Dick’s and Target receive their product. Their combined “big box” allocation is roughly 25% higher than Griffey’s, so the secondary market may look a bit unusual until that supply lands.
We are not here to monitor the community’s every move, but we do want to make sure everyone has the right information. Double Megas may feel scarce over the next 10 days or so, but once Dick’s and Target restock, we’ll have a much clearer picture.
