The rarer the weapon type, the more powerful and elusive it becomes. BoBA boasts a rich blend of on-card autographs, serialized cards, non-serialized hits, and even some SECRET RARES, making every pack an adventure.
Enter the Apex Bracket
Central to the Apex Bracket are four formidable weapon types: Super, Gum, Hex, and Glow. These variations elevate each Hero to their peak potential. Among them, the Unique 1/1 “Superfoil” stands supreme, acting as a decisive tie-breaker due to its unparalleled rarity.
To qualify for the Apex Tournament, players must possess one of the exclusive Glow Battlefoil BoJax on-card Autographs /99, which made their debut at The 2024 National in Cleveland. Arrive at the Apex Tournament with a deck crafted from Glow, Hex, Gum, and Super variations to maximize your chances of seizing the $100,000 prize at The 2025 National in Chicago. The competition is fierce, and the stakes have never been higher—do you have what it takes to make the play that saves the day and claim the ultimate reward?
Playmakers will converge in Chicago days before The 2025 National to battle down to the final eight. These elite eight will then face off center stage in the Bo Jackson Battle Arena, vying for glory and the grand prize.
One unique feature of the Apex Tournament is the option to sponsor a Playmaker. If you’re a collector but not a TCG player, you can enter a Playmaker to compete using your deck, with the prize money split as you see fit. It’s your chance to shine, even if you’re not on the front lines!
Conquer the Gauntlet Bracket
The Gauntlet Bracket kicks off earlier, with qualifiers and regionals running throughout the year via our hobby shop connections and other events. Playmakers will battle their way through to earn a coveted spot in the Champions Gauntlet Bracket at The 2025 National in Chicago.
Designed as a grueling test of skill, the Gauntlet Bracket features a salary cap to level the playing field, adding a layer of strategic deck customization. Expect twists and turns as the Gauntlet winner might face off against the Apex champion for ultimate bragging rights or special prizes.
In the Gauntlet Bracket, Playmakers must use their own decks and cannot sponsor another to take their place. It’s all about personal skill and strategy, with every match bringing you closer to the top.
